23 January 2010    Well our Central / Broadway location is really taking shape and ready for business. Come on down and take a look. Ask questions. And maybe you will find the fruit tree you are looking for.

4th Dec., 2009    We are expecting a great selection of apples, peaches, plums, apricots, asian pears, pomegranates and figs Today. Winter is one of the best times to plant deciduous trees and stone fruits.

Dec. 3rd, 2009    Frost cloth, cardboard, sheets, blankets, burlap all make great defenders against frost damage and have insulating factors. Plastic on the other hand does not, so don't use plastic to protect your plants unless you are also going to add a heat source like a light bulb. Also never let the plastic rest on your trees foliage as that will transfer the cold straight through.

Dec. 3rd, 2009    It is a great time of year to plant deciduous trees such as Apples, Peaches, Plums, Apricots, Figs and Pomegranates. These trees go dormant in the winter which takes out much of the risk of transplant shock. Then when they wake up in their new home in the spring they will be that much ahead of getting established and fruiting sooner. See, winter does have its planting advantages.

Dec. 2nd, 2009    Forecast for Thursday night Dec. 3rd and Friday night Dec. 4th is expected to be in the low 30's, which means even colder in outlying areas. Be safe and cover any kind of young plant, especially if it has lots of new green growth and of course cover your tropical and sub-tropical plants. Better safe than sorry.

20th Nov. 2009    Just received a great selection of bamboo, guavas, dwarf and standard size mangos, avocados and the cold hardy babaco papaya

Nov. 13th, 2009    In the event of a frost or freeze warning, be prepared with frost cloth or other suitable fabric to cover your young or sensitive plants. Don't use plastic unless you are also adding a heat source like a light bulb, and don't let the plastic touch the plant.
