Allspice, also called Jamaica pepper, Kurundu, Myrtle pepper, pimenta, or newspice, is a spice which is the dried unripe fruit ("berries") of Pimenta dioica , a mid-canopy tree native to the Greater Antilles, southern Mexico and Central America, now cultivated in many warm parts of the world.

The name "allspice" was coined as early as 1621 by the English, who thought it combined the flavour of cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. Allspice is a small scrubby tree, quite similar to the Bay Laurel in size and form.

It can be grown outdoors in the tropics and subtropics, (yes S. Arizona) with normal garden soil and watering. Smaller plants can be killed by frost, although larger plants are more tolerant. It adapts well to container culture and can be kept as a houseplant or in a greenhouse.

GOJI BERRY PLANT

It is also known as Chinese wolfberry, mede berry, barbary matrimony vine, bocksdorn, Duke of Argyll's tea tree, Murali (in India),  red medlar or matrimony vine. Unrelated to the plant's geographic origin, the names Tibetan goji and Himalayan goji are in common use in the health food market for products from this plant. Easy To Grow Goji Berry plants

Goji Berry Plants are easy to grow once they are established. They will grow in almost any type of soil, light-sandy, Medium-loamy, and heavy-clay, but they tend to flower and fruit better in a well drained soil of moderate quality.
Goji Berry plants have an extensive root system and are very drought tolerant once established. Goji Berry plants prefer full sun to partial shade, but plant them in full sun for the best Goji Berry production.

Goji Berry plants can survive winters down to -15 degrees Fahrenheit and hot summers above 100 degrees. The Goji Berry grows as a thick bush reaching 8-10 feet tall with vines that can get 12 feet long. Heavy pruning of the Goji Berry plant will keep this bush looking nice and will also help it produce more delicious Goji Berries.

In early summer this beautiful plant is covered with small trumpet shaped flowers. Both purple and white blossoms are on the same Goji plant. Goji berry plants add color to any landscape with their delicate flowers. FREE GROUND SHIPPING TO CONTINENTAL US ADDRESSES ONLY, NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING. All Sales Final. No Refund or Exchange. DATE PALMS

Phoenix dactylifera, commonly known as the Date Palm, is a palm in the genus Phoenix, extensively cultivated for its edible sweet fruit. Due to its long history of cultivation for fruit, its exact native distribution is unknown, but probably originated somewhere in the desert oases of northern Africa, and perhaps also southwest Asia. It is a medium-sized tree, 15–25 m tall, often clumped with several trunks from a single root system, but often growing singly as well. The leaves are pinnate, 3–5 m long, with spines on the petiole and about 150 leaflets; the leaflets are 30 cm long and 2 cm broad. The full span of the crown ranges from 6–10 meters. The plant is cute and dainty when it is small but grows fast so leave it plenty of room

The fruit is a drupe known as a date. Dates are oval-cylindrical, 3–7 cm long, and 2–3 cm diameter, and when unripe, range from bright red to bright yellow in colour, depending on variety. Date palms can take 4 to 7 years after planting before they will bear fruit. Mature date palms can produce 175–270 lbs of dates per harvest season, although they do not all ripen at the same time so several harvests are required.

LOQUAT TREE

The fruits, in clusters of 4 to 30, are oval, rounded or pear-shaped, 1 to 2 in long, with smooth or downy, yellow to orange, sometimes red-blushed, skin, and white, yellow or orange, succulent pulp, of sweet flavor. A fruit of wide appeal, the loquat, Eriobotrya japonica Lindl., (syn. Mespilus japonicus Thunb.), of the rose family, Rosaceae, has been called Japan, or Japanese, plum and Japanese medlar. To the Italians, it is nespola giapponese; to French-speaking people, it is néflier du Japon, or bibassier. In the German language, it is japanische mispel, or wollmispel; in Spanish, nispero, nispero japonés, or nispero del Japón; in Portuguese, ameixa amarella, or ameixa do Japao

A tree of moderate size, the loquat may reach 20 to 30 ft (6-9 in), has a rounded crown, short trunk, and woolly new twigs. Loquats grow easily, although their large leaves get sunburned easily in hot summer locations with the afternoon sun. Their large deep green evergreen leaves (8-10 inches) are very decorative

Sweetly fragrant flowers, borne in rusty-hairy, terminal panicles of 30 to 100 blooms, are white, 5-petalled, 1/2 to 3/4 in wide.

Zone 7 and higher, tree hardy to 12 °F. Bloom hardy to 27 °F
